Our History

Mark Sousa purchased the property at 47 Hartford Turnpike, Tolland, CT in the fall of 2005. After removing over 60 trees from the overgrown property, he focused on renovating the barn and turned it into a retail location for Action Water Gardens. In 2018, Paula of Luz Photography contacted Mark and asked if she could bring some students attending their proms up to the property to take their prom photos and the idea of having an event space was planted. Mark has continued to improve and renovate the property through the years adding a 1000 SF patio with a fire pit and fire featured pond. The beautiful settings can be used for your events and backdrops for your pictures.

Our professional staff knows your event is a very important day to you, so we strive for perfection. We can recommend an event coordinator, caterer, or party rental company to assist in planning your event.

Reservation information

The 1000 SF patio is bordered by a beautiful koi pond and fire features. A non-refundable deposit is required to reserve a date. Final payment is due two (2) weeks prior to the event. No vendor payments will be made by The Hill at 47, vendor payments are the responsibility of the party that has contracted the vendor. Connecticut Sales Tax (7.35%) will be applied to all services.
